Bear Behind Lodge is a gorgeous and meticulously maintained log chalet that is only steps away from Sasquatch Mountain Resort in beautiful Hemlock Valley. We have an intimate open concept main floor living space that extends from our large and private back porch with barbecue, through the fully stocked kitchen, the dining room with table that comfortably seats 10, the charming living room with a wood-burning fireplace, to the front porch with the propane fire table (non-snowy months only) and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Also on the main level of this stunning 2,200sqft half-duplex that faces Sasquatch Mountain's ski hills is one of our four generous guest bedrooms with a comfy queen bed and built-in closet. Right next to it is a sparkling clean full bathroom with tub/shower combo. All bathrooms include shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and liquid hand soap. Bath, hand and face towels are also included with your stay.

The first floor features our great family room space with a full-size Foosball table, many boardgames, books and puzzles, OLED 64" TV, Xbox Series X game system and a high efficiency, free-standing gas fireplace. A fantastic place for entertainment. Plus, there is a separate laundry room with dryer, washing machine and wash basin that is free to use. Detergent and dryer sheets are available for guest use as well.

The third floor at Bear Behind has the gorgeous master bedroom with a queen bed and sitting area, both with brilliant views of the mountains that will put a smile on your face every time. There is a private master ensuite with large soaker tub. Elsewhere, the chalet offers two more guest bedrooms with built-in closets. One has a welcoming queen bed and the other has two sets of bunk beds (4 beds total). Situated very close to them is our third full-size bathroom that includes a shower/tub combo.

Bear (🐻) in mind that we do not hire a property management company to prepare the chalet for your stay. We carefully clean, maintain and make provisions before each guest's arrival; making sure that each visitor's stay in our home is the best it possibly can be. We take a mountain of pride in our alpine chalet. We hope that special effort is glaringly evident from your first sight of our attractively stained logs as you arrive, to when you lay your hand on their smooth surface to say goodbye.

Bear Behind Lodge is also situated in one of the very best locations on the mountain. The views of the ski hills and encompassing mountains are second to none. And, the chalet is literally only a few minutes' walk to Sasquatch Mountain Resort's quad chairlift and day lodge, Molly Hogan's Bar & Grill, the resort's 9-hole disc golf course (we have discs in the family room for guest use on the mountain during summer months👍😉) and the new Aerial Park, which is so much fun. A little paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, Hemlock Valley is a mountain top community where you can enjoy everything from skiing (downhill and x-country), snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowmobiling in winter to hiking, biking, disc golf, wildlife watching (yes, black bears are up here), ATVing, and having all sorts of fun on the Aerial Park in summer. Enjoy golfing? Located only 10 minutes from the bottom of the mountain is the Sandpiper Resort, which is home to Sandpiper Golf Course, Rowena’s Inn on the River, and the Clubhouse Restaurant.
